Fall 2024 Classes: 'Tis the Season

'Tis the season for theatre this fall at Stagebugz! Celebrate the very merry and the scary with our full-scale productions, Blackbox shows, and performing arts classes. Performers of all ages and experience levels will hone their abilities, learn new skills, and shine onstage. As with all Stagebugz shows, every participant in a production class will have a featured role with at least one line and solo (for musicals) and relatively equal stage time. Tuition is all-inclusive (no surprise fees from Stagebugz!), and need-based scholarships are available. So, whether your child is Broadway-bound or new to the stage, celebrate the magic of theatre with us this fall!

Scholarship and Grant Applications for those unable to afford full tuition are available on the FINANCIAL AID PAGE

Mainstage Musical

The Mainstage Musical is Stagebugz's big event of the season, where performers ages 8-16 of all experience levels work to present a full-length, professional-scale musical! This program is designed to bring together the Stagebugz community, with exciting roles for older and younger participants alike and opportunities for each student to highlight their strengths and develop new ones. Actors will spend time in peer groups where they'll bond with other students their age while still working with and learning from those older and younger than them, though all material and activities will be kept age-appropriate. Performers will spend time singing popular Broadway songs, learning thrilling dances, and exploring character study and basic script analysis as they develop their show. The production ends with a full tech week, followed by a weekend of performances bringing joy to family, friends, and fans!

Teen Blackbox Company

The Blackbox Company is an acting-focused program designed to be an affordable production option where teens ages 10-18 dive into advanced acting curriculum, focusing on skills such as script analysis and comedic timing. Actors will take the show from table read to final curtain call, exploring the full process of developing a production and working as an ensemble. Rehearsals will include games, bonding time, and scene study, leading up to a final blackbox-style public performance. This class is the perfect opportunity for young actors to hone their skills while having tons of fun!

This fall, the Blackox Company will be celebrating Halloween with a production of the straight play Jacqueline Hyde. Click below for more information!

Mini Company Musical

In the Mini Company Musical, younger performers ages 5-9 get the opportunity to star in their very own 30-minute musical! Children will explore each step of putting on a show, from auditioning to making props to performing in front of an audience. Through games, crafts, and rehearsals, they will learn about the basics of theatre while developing skills in singing, acting, and dancing; making new friends; and building their confidence! Performers work towards a final performance complete with costumes, props, and a live audience!

This fall, our Mini Company is giving thanks with A Peanuts Thanksgiving. Click below for more information!
