Mary Poppins

June 19 - June 30
9 A.M. - 3 P.M.
Ages 10-16

It's a Jolly Holiday with Mary! This summer, older performers will dive into acting theory and performance technique with these complex and timeless characters. Campers of all levels will grow their skills as multi-faceted performers, working on a variety of techniques such as harmonies, dialects, and even tap dancing. And, of course, camp sessions will include plenty of theatre games, special interest workshops, and bonding time for a can't-miss experience!

Location

Mary Poppins camp and performance will take place indoors at the Dance Art Media studio in Littleton's Bowles Marketplace:

8996 West Bowles Ave. Unit K2
Littleton, CO 80123

Payment Information

Camp Price: $500

Price includes camp T-shirt, daily snack, registration processing fee, and script and costumes (to be returned at the end of camp).

Showcase

Mary Poppins will culminate in a final performance for students' families and friends. The performance will be held at 1:30 p.m. on June 30th in the same location as camp.

Auditions and Casting

Every student is guaranteed a role with at least one line and one solo upon registering, and our small class sizes ensure that each performer receives ample stage time. Auditions simply help us to determine where everyone will learn the most and have the best experience. Summer camp is a great opportunity for young actors to break out of their comfort zone and have a chance to take center stage, so every camper will play a featured role.

Auditions for Mary Poppins will be held during camp in a low-pressure, working environment where campers learn audition skills. No prior preparation is required, however, music and script samples will be sent out the week prior for those who wish to familiarize themselves with the audition materials. The cast list will be sent out by the end of the night on June 20th. We do our best to find a role that each child will be excited about, but please remember that in Stagebugz shows, there truly are no small parts.  Additionally, many factors go into casting a show, and not receiving their desired role is not a reflection of a child's level of talent.
