Come over the rainbow with Stagebugz this summer! In this two week camp, students will join Dorothy and Toto as they sing and dance their way to Oz and meet a host of zany characters along the way. Young performers will work towards putting on their very own musical as they learn all about singing, dancing, and acting through musical rehearsals, character development, community building, and theater games!

Showcase
The Wizard of Oz will culminate in a final performance where students show off what they learned to family and friends. The performance will be held at 12:00 p.m. on July 19th at Columbine United Church.
Auditions and Casting
Every student is guaranteed a role with at least one line and one solo upon registering. Auditions simply help us to determine which spot each performer will enjoy and gain the most from. Summer camp is a great opportunity for every young actor to break out of their comfort zone and have a chance to take centerstage, so all campers will play a featured role in The Wizard of Oz.
Auditions will be run workshop-style on the first day of camp; no prior preparation is required. The cast list will be sent out by the end of the night on July 8th. We do our best to find a role that each child will be excited about, but please remember that in Stagebugz shows, there truly are no small parts. Additionally, many factors go into casting a show, and not receiving their desired role is not a reflection of a child's level of talent.
