The One Where They
Make A TV Show

Spring Break Camp: Grades 6-12
March 23-26, 5:00-7:45 PM
Live Taping: March 27th at 4 PM
Koelbel Library

Did you know that each episode of a television sitcom is filmed in just one week? In this spring break camp, we'll do exactly that: film our own TV show over the course of the week! Campers will take the next step in their showbiz journey and get a true taste of Hollywood as they explore each day of life on a sitcom set, from table read to live taping. They'll dive into the ins-and-outs of comedy, learn the unique skills required for on-camera acting, try out favorite scenes and characters from popular sitcoms, and even talk to professionals working in the film industry. The week rounds out with a mock live taping in front of a "studio" audience, and actors will walk away with footage they can use for demo reels, portfolios, or high school/college applications (and, of course, bragging rights!) With creative opportunities in front of and behind the camera, this camp is perfect for all who are interested in comedy, have ever considered a career in film or television, or simply love acting and want to try something new!
