Stagebugz is always seeking passionate, enthusiastic volunteers to join us on our mission to accessible and uplifting theatre education where every child feels safe, supported, and special. Whether you have an hour to give or want to help out for a whole summer, and whether you are looking to join us in person or want to help virtually, we have something for you!

Read on to learn more about some of our current and upcoming opportunities, and fill out the form below to let us know you're interested or to be notified about future openings!

We are currently seeking volunteers for two of our Fall productions, Elf, Jr. and Jacqueline Hyde! Click below for more information and to sign up!

Jacqueline Hyde Volunteers

Elf, Jr. Volunteers

*Please note that some positions may require additional training and/or background checks.

Tech Crew

Be a part of the action by assisting with tech for our Stagebugz productions. Tech crew volunteers will join us for dress rehearsals and the final performance to help with needs such as moving sets, lights and sound, and coordinating costumes. No experience necessary!

Ushers

Ushers are needed to help with ticket sales and check in, distributing programs, guiding audience members to seats, and working the concession booth during mainstage performances.

Special Topic Workshop Guests

Part of what sets Stagebugz apart is our inclusion of special topics workshops in our curriculum that expands students' exposure to arts education into interests beyond the production. This is a unique opportunity for industry professionals and experts to join us as a special guest during a camp or class to lead a masterclass-style program. Past topics have ranged everything from commercial acting to improv to tap dance to filmmaking.

Costume/Prop Coordinator

Stagebugz is always in need of donations of costumes, props, and sometimes small set pieces for our programs. You can help by organizing a costume collection in your community for others to donate old Halloween costumes and dress-up wear, or by signing up to become a costume/prop coordinator and help us fill needs for a specific show. This is a great opportunity to assist remotely!

Scholarship Review Committee

A select, trustworthy group of members of the theatre community and accountants/financial experts are chosen to review and select recipients of our need-based financial aid grants. To protect the privacy of applicants and ensure decisions are as objective as possible, parents and guardians of past or current students are not eligible for this position.

Theatre For Young Audiences Performer

As Stagebugz begins to develop a children's theatre performance program, we will need actors and musicians to come help us tell stories! Expect more about this opportunity in late 2024.

Don't See Something That Interests You?

Our volunteer needs are always changing! Fill out the form to the right to be notified about future opportunities (or suggest one yourself!)

Thanks for submitting!
