Community Workshops
August 22 @ Columbine Library
Grades K-5: 9:30-11 AM
Grades 6-12: 11:15 AM-1:15 PM
Join us every month for a few hours of theatrical fun! Community workshops are free to join and open to students of all abilities and experience levels. Participants will engage in age-appropriate games and activities, practice skills related to each month's theme, and perform for parents at the end of the session. These are a great way to try theatre for the first time, hone a specific skill, or just spend some time doing what you love!
August Topics

Grades K-5: Puppet Party: While learning the basics of character development and improv, participants will design their own puppet, invent their puppet's personality, and work together to create a short performance!

Grades 6-12: Two-Minute Plays: Conceptualize, write, rehearse, and perform your own play in just a few hours! With the help of instructors, participants will work in small groups to create a two-minute story, explore the qualities of great writing, and practice their acting skills as they prepare to perform their plays for parents at the end of class.

Featuring talent from across the Stagebugz and Denver-Metro communities, this event will include can't-miss performances, tons of laughs, a few surprises, and plenty of opportunities for prizes. Whether you can't wait to get on stage or prefer to stay far away from a microphone, join us as we celebrate our Stagebugz families and fundraise for future Stagebugz programs.
