Work With Stagebugz!

Summer Internship Program

***Summer Internship applications are now closed. Feel free to check back periodically for updates and new opportunities!***

Stagebugz Theatre is seeking dedicated, passionate applicants who are enthusiastic about working with young performers to serve as an intern for our summer camp programs Matilda and The Wizard of Oz! This is a great opportunity for high school or college students to gain experience in teaching and production management. Applicants must be at least fourteen years of age and currently enrolled in a U.S. high school or postsecondary institution (or have graduated within the past 12 months). Prior theatre experience is a positive but certainly not required!

Responsibilities may include running small-group rehearsals, leading warm-ups and games during downtime, helping students catch up on music and choreography, supervising lunch and snack breaks, overseeing costumes and props during performances, and assisting with student needs throughout the day. Responsibilities will be modified to fit the selected applicants' interests and goals, and there will be opportunities to help with teaching music or choreography, blocking scenes, organizing technical elements, or other production responsibilities if desired.

The Wizard of Oz camp runs weekdays July 8th-July 19th from 9 am-1 pm at Columbine United Church, and Matilda runs weekdays June 24-28 from 9 am-1pm at Columbine United Church; staff and interns will arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of camp each day and may stay after for cleanup or team meetings. Interns are expected to attend all program dates, and a brief mandatory training will be scheduled with chosen applicants based on their availability. Interns will receive a stipend of $150/week, or may opt for a credit towards another Stagebugz camp in the amount of $250/week (this option is only available to those under age 18).  College credit may be arranged upon request at the discretion of the applicant's school.

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis and applicants will be notified whether they have been selected for a 15-minute virtual interview within 14 days of submission.
