Stagebugz Theatre is currently hiring dedicated, passionate teaching artists and interns for our 2026 summer camps!

Teaching Artist: "Oh, The Play You'll Perform" Camp
Rate of Pay: $400-500 D.O.E.
Dates: June 15-19, 8:45 AM-1:15 PM, plus an approx. 1-hour training in May based on availability
Qualifications:

Age 21+

Must pass a background check
-
High school diploma, GED, or similar
-
Preference given to those with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in theatre, education, or a related field

Prior theatre experience/training and a basic understanding of theatre, music, and dance
-
Prior experience working with children in some capacity
-
Patient, flexible, and proactive
-
Able to work collaboratively with a team
-
Comfortable working with children with a variety of backgrounds, needs, and abilities
Job Description: Teaching Artists will help create a safe, uplifting, and positive environment for our youngest campers. They should share a committment to Stagebugz' mission of making every child feel safe, supported, and special. Responsibilities may include: leading daily check-in/check-out, supervising breaks and transitions, planning and executing games or other downtime activities, proactively attending to students' needs, and teaching blocking or choreography.
Intern: "Beauty and the Beast" Camp
Rate of Pay: $100 stipend OR tuition-free enrollment in another 2026 summer camp
*Alternatives, such as mileage reimbursement, will be worked out for students seeking internship or volunteer hours whose school programs prohibit monetary compensation.
Dates: June 8-12, 8:45 AM-1:15 PM, plus an approx. 1-hour training in May based on availability
Qualifications:

Entering Grade 10 or higher as of Fall 2026; no maximum age limit

Available for all program dates

Kind, patient, and flexible

Comfortable working in an environment that is at times fast-paced, noisy, or stressful

Able to take direction and work collaboratively as a team

Prior experience working with children

Prior theatre experience/knowledge preferred, but not required
Job Description: Interns will gain experience in teaching, leadership, and directing as they assist Stagebugz' teaching artists throughout the camp week. Responsibilities may include supervising breaks and transitions, leading games or review during students' downtime, taking stage management notes, and attending to minor student needs or problems.
