Stagebugz Theatre is currently hiring dedicated, passionate teaching artists for our 2026 mainstage production of Annie, Jr.!

Commitment and schedule varies by position; general rehearsal schedule is:

Mondays, 1/26-3/30, from 5:30-7:30 PM at Redemption Hills Church in Littleton

*Extra rehearsals on Wednesdays, March 4th, 11th, and 18th from 5:30-7:30 PM 

Tech rehearsals: April 6-8 from 5-8 PM

Performances: April 9 at 6 PM (Parent preview), April 10 & 11 at 6 PM, April 12 at 2 PM at Three Leaches Theatre in Lakewood

Teaching Assistant with Music Specialty

Rate of Pay: $750 Stipend

Dates: All rehearsals and performances listed above (conflicts will be accepted on a case-by-case basis). Should plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of rehearsals and 1.5 hours prior to curtain for performances.

Job Description: Seeking a teaching assistant with experience in music to help create a fun, supportive, and uplifting educational environment! Candidates should be at least 18 years of age; have prior experience working with kids in the performing arts; and be comfortable leading basic music instruction. Prior experience teaching music and proficiency in piano is a plus! Responsibilities include assisting the lead instructors with class activities, including but not limited to check-in and check-out, teaching and reviewing basic vocal music, leading games during downtime, and helping students with behavioral regulation and conflict resolution. Opportunities for teaching blocking or choreography are available if candidate is interested, but not required. 

 

Music Director

Rate of Pay: $300 Stipend (12 hour maximum, pay will be adjusted in contract offer if additional hours are needed)

Dates: Exact schedule to be determined based on candidate availability; tentatively Mondays 2/2-3/2

Job Description: Hiring an experienced and positive music director to join the team of Annie, Jr.! Candidates should be at least 21 years of age and have at least 2 years experience working with children in a performing arts setting. Must be comfortable playing piano, sight reading, and teaching vocal techniques to students in both our Mini-Company (ages 5-10) and mainstage company (ages 10-17). Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's Degree or higher in music. Responsibilities include teaching music from the show according to a set schedule, helping students of all experience levels grow as singers, coaching students through more difficult songs, and carrying out the Stagebugz philosophy of patience over perfection in an environment where every child gets an equal chance to shine

Interns

Rate of Pay: $100 stipend*

*Alternative compensation, such as mileage reimbursement, will be worked out for students seeking internship or volunteer hours whose school programs prohibit monetary compensation. 

Dates: All rehearsals and performances listed above (conflicts will be accepted on a case-by-case basis). Should plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of rehearsals and 1.5 hours prior to curtain for performances.

Job Description: This position is perfect for high school & college students looking to gain teaching experience, learn more about children’s theatre, and help change students’ lives through the magic of the arts! Candidates should be at least 16 years of age, demonstrate a passion for theatre/music/dance, and love working with kids. This is a training position in which interns will assist with student needs such as supervising bathroom breaks and down time, serving as assistant stage managers during performances, leading games or review with small groups, helping with set-up and clean-up of space, and exploring their individual interests such as promotional photography and social media, teaching blocking and choreography, or taking on production design tasks.
