Teen Performance Troupe

Grades 5-12

Mondays, 5-7 p.m.; November 3-December 8

Columbine United Church

Level up your performing skills and share your talents with the world as part of Stagebugz's exciting new Performance Troupe! Performers will collaborate to develop a short show complete with music, dance, improv, and more throughout a fast-paced, six-week rehearsal process. Rehearsals will culminate in a full day of performances across the Littleton community, where performers get the star treatment with luxury transportation, lunch, special treats, at more!

The Performance Troupe will also have opportunities for additional, optional performances at various events throughout the season.

About

The Performance Troupe is an opportunity for students to expand their performing experience, give input on the material they'd like to perform, and explore a wide range of skills in a low-pressure, short-commitment program. All participants will be accepted into the troupe (no auditions are required), and while performing experience is encouraged, it is certainly not required! Participants are encouraged to sign up even if they are only interested in certain aspects of performing (i.e. they prefer improv and acting over singing and dancing, or vice versa), as the Troupe will work on a variety of material. Class time will be spent working as a team to finalize selections, developing and improving performance skills, and rehearsing material for various performance opportunities.

The culmination for this program will be our Tour Day, where the group will travel around the Denver-metro area to spread joy with performances around the community. There will be a final showcase for friends and family at the end of the day!

Dates

Rehearsals: Mondays, November 3-December 8, from 5-7 PM

Final Dress Rehearsal: Friday, December 12, from 4-5 PM

Tour Day: Saturday, December 13, from 10 AM-5 PM

Friends & Family Showcase: Saturday, December 13 at 4 PM

Performances
Performances on December 13 will take place at multiple community locations in and around Littleton. Exact locations will be announced, but may include nursing homes, recreation centers, holiday events, or schools. Performers will meet at their regular rehearsal location in the morning, and transportation will be provided throughout the rest of the day (parents may drive their performers separately, if preferred). The tour will end with a final performance open to friends and family!

The Performance Troupe will also have opportunities for additional performances throughout the season. These are optional and will be confirmed closer to the event dates, but may include:
  • 9 News Parade of Lights
  • Littleton Candlelight Walk & Tree Lighting
  • Colorado Eagles Game
  • Rudolph Ramble 5K
  • And more!

Optional performances are subject to change based on selection from the producing organizations (i.e. the Troupe may be required to audition for certain events), scheduling, and number of performers available. Additional rehearsals may be required for these performances; times and locations will be announced as opportunities are confirmed. Stagebugz will not charge any fees for optional performances; however, there may be extra costs associated, such as for transportation or spectator tickets to events.
